Pruning Time started with a group of young people with learning disabilities, restoring and refurbishing a garden at the Brogdale Farm Site in Faversham. The restored garden was a “Chelsea Garden” gold medal winner and was designed as an edible garden. Sadly the garden is now a lost treasure. From the success of the garden, the Pruning Time gardening service has grown.
Pruning Time is now led by Jason, a qualified and experienced gardener with experience in landscaping and garden building. He has cultivated a small team of young people & adults with learning disabilities, who now go out into the community offering their services to help local people and communities. They are learning on the job and we are seeing their passion & skills bloom. Through the pruning time gardening service, we are able to offer our young people valuable work experience in gardening, garden maintenance, DIY and customer care skills.
In the winter period, we can still carry out other work such as erecting fences, garden sheds, and many other DIY needs. Our gardening service is available in Faversham, Canterbury, Sittingbourne, Whitstable, and Herne Bay. Visit our Facebook Page to see more
