Food With Friends Café is a social enterprise working with adults and young people who have a disability. Run by Brogdale CIC it is a place where everyone is welcome. Full of delicious homemade cakes and good old homemade meals! It’s a lovely hidden haven just off of the hustle and bustle of the town centre.
A Place to Learn
Food with Friends is not just a café it is a place of learning too. In our wonderful, friendly café atmosphere, we offer young people and adults with learning disabilities, a chance to learn valuable work experience or take one of our Craftworks college courses. Our students get to learn a variety of different skills from cooking to customer services, they also have to opportunity to achieve employability qualifications.
A Place to Work
Food with Friends uses the freshest ingredients to create wonderful, quiches, pastries and cakes and the homemade biscuits are to die for! Meals are made to order using as many local products as possible including those from our Muddy Wellies Community Farm. There are computer terminals for public use adjacent to the Café as well as wireless internet provision so you can have the perfect working lunch. We are very happy to cater for group meetings too, let us know in advance and we can work with you for the perfect space.
The Food with Friends Café is on the second floor, open from 9am – 4pm Monday to Friday. The Café with its colourful and modern décor is perfect for a light bite or a cup of coffee and a slice of home-baked cake. With deals on every day, what is not to love!
