Floribunda is our new social business that gives students work experience in flower and nursery production for cut flowers, garden-ready plants, and planted containers. Using the comprehensive indoor and outdoor facilities at Muddy Wellies Farm the seeds are sown to develop work-based skills, from producing, caring for, and eventually selling beautiful plants and flowers to our delighted customers.
These can then be sold through Branching Out Market, which is our business enterprise for selling products made by our Craftworks Students and Learnabout participants. Michael is heading up the Market whilst Liz is helping guide the Floribunda enterprise, and it has been amazing seeing how the two businesses are meshing together and building confidence in the students and participants who are working on them. Watch out for an online marketplace coming soon!
These wonderful plant pots, made by a work experience student from Craftworks College, sold like wildfire (or possibly wildflower?!) during February. A great beginning to a business that cultivates the hopes of our young people and gives them meaningful work experience! We cant wait to see what comes next!
Did you know Hythe Environmental Group also came to visit Muddy Wellies this week! Take a look at this video below made by Liz about what they have been up to!
