Food & Cookery Tutor

Position: Part-Time Food and Cookery tutor for Craftworks College, part of The Brogdale CIC Group, based in Ashford.

Starting Salary: £25,350 – £29,250 Pro Rata. Status: part-time employment 2 days per week, term time only

Craftworks College, part of The Brogdale CIC Group is looking for a qualified and or experienced Food and Cookery tutor to work with disabled young people who are studying up to L2 Food and Cookery.

The Food and Cookery course is based at our café Food with Friends at the Gateway Plus in Ashford. We are looking for someone to work within the café teaching and engaging young people in learning the skills to enter into the catering industry. It is a small teaching café where there will be 2 learners to work with. The applicant will need to be computer literate, be able to self-manage, work as part of a team, and work across levels entry to L2.

A minimum of Level 2 English and maths is required

Teaching Assistants

Position: FT or PT Teaching Assistants for Craftworks college, part of The Brogdale CIC Group. Based in Sittingbourne, Faversham, and Ashford.

Starting Salary: £21,450 Pro Rata for qualified Tas, we are able to offer training. Status: We are a growing college and we have new roles across all our sites. We can be flexible to need with hours from 9.30 – 3.30pm, 5 days a week term time or as negotiated on job offer.

We teach Horticulture, Creative Crafts and Animal Care in the areas where we have vacancies and thus skills in these areas would be an advantage. The person needs to be able to work with disabled young people who are studying up to L2. Community Painting & Decorating Tutor

Position: Part-time working towards a full-time role with The Brogdale CIC Group, based in Swale and surrounding area

Starting Salary: £27,300 pro-rata – Contract work possible also
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday to deliver 3 training tutorials of 6 weeks each annually – 18 weeks of work

The Brogdale CIC Group is looking for a community painting and decorating tutor to work with 18 to 28-year-olds who are not in employment, education or training. We are looking for a skilled tradesperson who has a passion for upskilling young people who may be disadvantaged, disengaged and or have a disability. We are looking for a person who has their own CSCS card and is able to teach skills in painting and decorating and basic DIY inspiring young people to enter the building trade.

Initially, we are offering this job opportunity to teach 3 training courses of 6-week duration across the year working with our partner Fresh Visions. We are looking longer term to develop a small social business providing a painting and decorating DIY service to the community which gives 6-month apprenticeship opportunities.

A minimum of Level 2 English and maths is required

We are a small social enterprise that is linked to 2 charities, a post 16 college for SEN young people Craftworks, and our youth service across Swale and Ashford, Vibe.  Transport will be provided and all tools.  You will need to have experience in the painting and decorating industry for the last 3 years.
