Hello everyone! We can’t believe it is already July – and almost the summer holidays!! There has been so much happening this term within our youth work, it’s been great to see our clubs build up again and our schools team get back into the classroom.
Over the last two terms, we have trained up 60+ young people as Peer Mentors in secondary schools, trialed a ‘bubbled buddy’ project in a Primary School, supported young people with wellbeing groups in Oasis Academy, and saw over 400, Year 6 pupils through our transition project!
and that’s just the schools’ work!
At the Skatepark in Sittingbourne we have grown our contact with young people, get to know them even more. Now have a small group of regular users who are part of our ideas team for our upcoming Skatepark Celebration on the 27th of August!
After a long year of Zoom youth clubs, we welcomed the chance to see our youth face to face again, meet new young people and enjoy the outdoors together. We have clubs running in Faversham, Iwade, Newington, Rushenden, Sheerness & Teynham and all are growing fast in numbers
As mentioned above we have seen many Year 6’s through our transition workshops this year! If you would like some support with moving on to secondary school. Check out our transition playlist here on youtube. You can also print our pdf workbook for free, clicking the link below.
Our summer holiday programme is live! Check out all we are up to on the flyer below and for those of you in Sheerness – Allsorts is continuing through the summer, every Thursday 4-6pm!
