This week we asked one of our long standing students to write their review of Craftworks College. It has been great to receive all these student reviews and we are looking forward to seeing more!
Brogdale CIC is a charity who works with young people who find school difficult. BCIC offers a range of courses from Animal Care, Creative Crafts, Employability and Horticulture. There are a number of sites across Kent including Sittingbourne, Faversham and Ashford and each site has different facilities.
I have been a student with [Craftworks] for the last four years and I have completed my Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates in Horticulture and currently studying for a Level 2 Work Place Diploma in Horticulture.
I have studied at Muddy Wellies, Willowway, Brogdale Farm and the Walled Garden. My favourite site is the Walled Garden, in Faversham, because it has got character because it was originally a Victorian/Georgian garden. Before Brogdale took the site over, it was unkempt, overgrown and we are restoring it to its former glory.
As students and staff we have worked very hard to clear the undergrowth and the years of neglect and there are plans to restore the Grade 2 listed Greenhouse. We have re-planted shrubs in existing borders we discovered as we cleared.
[Craftworks] would be a very good College for you if you are practical minded and personally I have grown in confidence and can do things that I thought were impossible.
Thank you so much for your review!
