World Book Day!

Happy World Book Day!

All-day we have been posting on our Social Media channels, the books that our team are loving, favoured as a child, or are currently reading! Have you read any of these?

Alex from Muddy Wellies told us his favorite book was Georges Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl!

We do hope this hasn’t inspired him in how to feed our Bantams over at the farm!

Are there any books you still love reading? Youth Worker Tanya found a copy of one of the Famous Five books that she loved as a child!

Time for a chat

Talking about adventure, this week’s Time for a chat is with Amy (Craftworks admissions, Learnabout & HR). In this chat, she talks about The Explorers by Katherine Rundell, which she is reading with her son. We also talk about her pathway to employment and how she got from wanting to be Kylie Minogue, to where she is now!

Youth Reading

This week in our youth groups we asked the young people to bring their favorite book/reading material to our zoom clubs. It was amazing to see all the different types of books and hear why we enjoy them so much!

Rebecca’s Reading

We also asked Rebecca, BCIC’s managing director what she was currently reading! She said

I like nothing better than to escape into a fantasy novel. I’ve just finished a Jennifer Armantrout fab take and am reading the Iron Fey series by Kagawa. I’m interspersing that with some pycho babble so I don’t lose touch with my last year of counseling study and I’ve lined up Circe to read which is a play on mythology. I think if I ever retire you will find me curled up either on a sun lounger or next to an open fire reading!

Find out tomorrow how Craftworks Students celebrated World Book Day & National Careers Day in one great activity!
