Craftworks Celebrations

Craftworks, our post-16 specialist provider college has been full of celebration in the last week as students have begun to receive their qualification certificates!

Creating Our Futures

First up, our Creative Craft students! Last year this student was based at The Mill, our new Craftworks site, set between the quay & the skatepark in Sittingbourne. Tutor Sophie, helped her ‘think big’ and create some amazing furniture with the palettes that IAC donated to us. She has now progressed onto our Practical Horticulture Skills Level 1 course.

Congratulations

Over at our Walled Garden, there were more Creative Craft certificates to be awarded! These two have progressed on to their next level of Creative Craft with the team here. Tutor Jo was excited to award them for their inspiration, production, and creativity in the last year. As you can see – some of us are also preparing early for Christmas!

Amazing Work!

Craftworks has a monster lurking in the Walled Garden! Only Kidding! This student loves making props and set designs. Last week he was working on a Doctor Who Slitheen claw – we think David Tennent would be very proud!

Out of this world!

Lastly from our Creative Crafts students (so far), Cathy is celebrating this student who she describes as full of inspiration and who then gets on and makes her ideas come to life! As Dad was asked to be involved Milo of course wanted to take part and show off his new name badge which this student had sewn.

Nothing can stop you now!

Growing Strong

Over on our Willowway site, we had more Craftworks celebrations with one student receiving their Practical Horticulture Skills & L2 Environmental & Conservation Skills Qualification and another their L1 Practical Horticulture Skills certificate! Both these students have continued this year with us with one of them participating in our new Employability course.

Onwards and upwards!

Craftworks Progression

What happens when you get too old to study with us? One option we offer is to be part of Learnabout our day service for adults with disabilities! There are options for woodwork, horticulture, craft, and café work! Cathy is so excited to see her creative group and award those who studied with us last year, their certificates!

We are looking forward to seeing you again!
