Teachers’ Day

Our sauces tell us: Yesterday was Teachers’ Day

National Teachers’ Day is an annual celebration of those who dedicate their lives to the education of others – and it’s celebrated annually on the 5th October!

We are so privileged to have a great teaching team here at Craftworks – including Tutors, Teaching Assistants, our SENCO Victoria, and Employability Lead Tracy. We also have our youth team, Learnabout workers & ‘Good to be Me’ team who are all involved in teaching wellbeing and life skills too.

Over lockdown, our teams worked to ensure that our youth, students, and adult learners continued to be supported, connected, educated, and encouraged. We’ve posted about our young people, celebrating them. Today we would like to celebrate, honour, and thank our teaching team.

Giving their Best

Despite our normal day to day life coming to a halt, our BCIC team gave their very best. When TA’s couldn’t be in college to support students, they grew their own skills so when students returned they had even more support!

When teachers couldn’t teach, they took their creativity online, When Youth leaders couldn’t deliver clubs they ‘zoom-ed’ around and came up with mad ways and even madder games that kept our young people created. Our Learnabout team came up with fun ideas to entertain and connect the Learnbout adults (our team even got taught by them sometimes!).

Thank you for all the ways you support and encourage our students & youth. Thank you for being creative and innovative, using your unique skills & talents
