Happy Birthday!

Today Brogdale CIC turns 10! There has been a lot of growing…

…and there is even more than this

Planting the seeds

Brogdale Community Interest Company was established in 2010 to develop leisure and employment opportunities for disabled children and young people within a mainstream community environment.

We began at Brogdale Farm, Faversham starting with a project called Growing for the Future. Beginning with a Saturday project with young people, we grew to weekdays and have now expanded into six sites across Ashford & Swale.

We have even won some prizes and met the Duke of Kent!

Budding Projects

Core to the heart of BCIC is that we work with the community, for the community. We’re here for the long haul and believe in seeing youth from any background progress from youth clubs to employment. We are delighted that we’ve seen it happen!

In 2017 Craftworks College became a registered DFE independent post-16 provider and our team grew, even more, adding to it our dedicated SENCO Victoria and progressions lead, Tracy.

Our Team just keeps on growing!

We also support Adults with Learning Disabilities with our day service Learnabout. We currently have two sites: Ashford & Faversham. It’s a great place to get together for some social time as well as being able to learn a craft alongside employability and independent living skills

Growing Enterprise

Our two Social Enterprise projects have also been growing. These give valuable work experience for our craftworks students as well as an opportunity for employment for adults with learning disabilities. The cafe now has expanded into the external catering arena and Pruning Time has grown it’s services to included design & build, decking & fencing as well as our original garden care.

Thank you to all our young people, employees, parents, students, volunteers, partner agencies, supporters, Trustees & everyone who has joined us grow.

The Hands that Planted

We couldn’t go without saying thank you to the two incredible women (and their families) who said yes to a vision and began planting & nurturing this company

The vision of Brogdale CIC has been and continues to be to enable disabled and disadvantaged young people and adults to take part in a range of leisure and work opportunities. We are so thankful for the last 10 years and looking forward to seeing all our ideas and plans grow in the next 10!
