We are currently looking for a community gardener to help us move our project into the next stage of its development.
It Could be You!
You will have horticultural experience, preferably with an interest in food growing and/or wildlife gardening. An ability to develop and manage projects is also essential, as is experience of working with volunteers/community work.
Working with our Horticulture manager to provide for our current customers and to develop the local community gardening service.
Person specification & experience
Demonstrable experience of successful project running
Minimum of three years’ horticultural experience with good knowledge of plants, tools, horticultural processes
Preferably a Level 2 and above qualification in horticulture or a related subject.
Preferably experience of working with and supervising a volunteer to work with you.
Experience of working with disadvantaged groups/individuals and/or children.
Genuinely excited by gardening and a desire to promote the environment
Able to work with people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Strongly committed to working as part of a team however able to work independently.
Aware of all issues affecting personal safety and the safety of others, including volunteers.
Reliable and organised
Friendly and approachable
A good communicator
Proactive and self-motivated
Full driving license
Salary £19,500 full time, however willing to look at part-time hours Van and equipment and current customer list all provided.
