The Tree that keeps giving

Heart FM have once again brought their Giving Tree to Bluewater. Shoppers can donate a present to help 37 Charities across Kent and East Sussex.  People have been donating gifts in their thousands already with almost 3 weeks to go until Christmas.

The gifts for children have been being bought and donated since 9th November till the 22ed December and Heart FM are hoping to exceed the 15,000 children who received a gift last year.

People have been heading to the Giving Tree on the Upper Mall, outside M&S where they choose a boy’s or girl’s name tag, which will also show an age.  They then have fun selecting an appropriate gift from Bluewater for the child they have selected.  The presents then get delivered back to the Giving Tree team.

The great news is that Brogdale CIC are one of the chosen charities so many of our youngsters may get a little something extra under their own Christmas Tree this year.

Heart FM would also  like to thank Action Point for supplying the boxes that presents will be packed in, and Firmin for the use of one of their vans for the deliveries.

This year the giving tree will be back at Bluewater from the 9th of November to the 22ed of December so feel free to pop along and see what’s happening.
